Our main objective is in developing a system engineering and solutions approach to wells-reservoir-field design and operation. This enables our Clients to make informed decisions and maximize leverage over their efforts.
In contrast to other consulting and engineering firms, MDOS’s philosophy is based on taking an operator prospective to a problem and not limiting ourselves to a specific discipline. This results in solutions that transcend discipline boundaries and provide fit for purpose answers to real operating challenges.

OUR OFFSHORE & ONSHORE PROJECTS
At MDOS, we take on projects at any stage, from design of new developments to troubleshooting of mature fields. The principal thrust of the company is in developing a system engineering approach to well-reservoir-field-facilities design and operation.
All MDOS personnel are experienced in various projects for major and independent production companies at various locations around the globe.
Our project portfolio is composed of offshore and onshore operations, largely as a result of the increased risks associated with the design, installation and operation of such fields and facilities. We have a varied workload, ranging from new technology development and evaluation, pre front-end engineering design and FEED support, through commissioning and start-up, to troubleshooting of producing facilities. We work for operators, contractors and vendors.
Although the bulk of our workload is associated with technical support of projects during their design, where the most value for least cost can typically be leveraged, this is balanced by a significant portion of projects that support existing facilities. We staff our projects so that all of our team members face a mix of project design and asset support activities, so that they maintain a focus on operational aspects when supporting the design of facilities and operating procedures.

At MDOS, we take Flow Assurance engineering and modeling to operations. TOOLS integrated modeling on high-end computing systems are part of our base solutions and software tools.
With deeper waters, longer distances and harsh environments, oil and gas production face more challenges including hydrate management, slugging, wax deposition, scale build-up, asphaltene precipitation, erosion and gel formation.
FLOW ASSURANCE OPTIMIZATION FOR PRODUCTION
MDOS provides expert flow assurance services and solutions for drilling and production. Successful flow assurance requires multidisciplinary expertise. Experienced flow assurance staff and essential equipment to perform experimentation and evaluation work required to handle all areas of flow assurance. Hydrate and paraffins tests are designed to ensure economical solutions are employed when operating in high pressure and low temperature environments.

RESERVOIR CHARACTERIZATION
The better you understand your reservoir, the better positioned you are to optimize its lifetime performance. Understand your reservoir rocks and fluids through accurate measurements and characterization delivered by our tools, services, and Petro technical expertise.
- Petrophysics.- Formation evaluation characterizes rock and fluid properties based on downhole measurements, formation testing, and laboratory analysis services. Petrophysical analysis using a wide variety of measurements leads to an understanding of the reservoir and its detailed characteristics.
- Geology. – Measurements at scales from pores to sedimentary basins are analyzed and interpreted to develop micro and macro geological models. Knowledge of local and field-wide structure and variability helps to achieve optimal reservoir contact and guide well paths to avoid hazards.
- Geomechanics.- Rocks have a wide range of stiffness and strength and are exposed to variable stresses during drilling, completion, and production. Downhole acoustic measurements and laboratory core analysis provide input for geomechanical modeling to efficiently develop, produce, and ultimately abandon reservoirs.
- Geophysics. – Large-scale sensing finds reservoirs in all types of environments, providing the basis for a 3D reservoir model with physical properties at all scales. Geophysics provides the “big picture,” while wellbore-scale seismic and petrophysical data deliver formation understanding in detail.
- Reservoir Engineering- Reservoir engineering provides an understanding of fluid flow and phase behavior at all scales, for all fluids, and in all geological settings. Formation pressure measurement, downhole fluid sampling and analysis, and laboratory PVT analysis are used to build a picture of reservoir potential and predict future performance.
- Reservoir Testing. – Prove reservoir potential, confirm well performance, and improve field productivity with our broad range of testing and measurement services that help you reach a better basis for your decisions.
- Petro technical Services. – Combine reservoir expertise and the application of industry-leading technology to design optimal solutions at any stage of your oil & gas operations.
- Real-Time Operations Support. – Remotely monitor, model, and manage well construction and production operations.
